We had some relatively nice weather not long ago, so I took the kiddos to the MSU duck pond to feed the ducks. Those ducks were HUNGRY! They usually enjoy their food, but they were quite excited about the bread and stale Cheerios we brought. Embrie and Hyat really enjoyed the fact that they had the ducks undivided attention. Hyat even managed to hold still enough to let one of the rather friendly ducks eat a piece of bread out of his hand. Embrie would try to mimic him, but didn't quite get the holding still part. As a result, she would end up chasing a duck calling out "Duck!" the whole time. It was pretty dang cute. They were so focused on the ducks, I couldn't get them to turn around for a picture. Oh well, this way you get to see Embrie's cute mullet tails (a.k.a. pig tails)!

After this trip, we went back maybe a week later with Buck thinking the ducks would still be hungry. However, that day they must have had a lot of visitors ahead of us because they showed very little interest in eating! The kids had a good time throwing bread, tromping through duck poop and quaking with the ducks.
