Karley and Weston recently decided it was time for Hazen's first fishing trip, so we headed for the Missouri River. The wind had been blowing in Bozeman more than usual, so we thought this would be a good "getaway." We packed up and headed out of town for a little fishing and then hoping to stop in on a few friends that live in Helena.
The fishing was great. When Hyat lands 5 fish in just over an hour - we will not complain. Once Buck found the "sweet spot" he helped Hyat reel in his first 3 fish of the day. When they started catching fish, I had decided to walk downstream with Embrie in the pack. I would get about 25 yards away and they would hook another one, so I would "run" back up to take pictures or video only to head off and have it all happen again. Since Hyat had out-caught Weston (3-0), they shared the sweet spot with him. But per "Father Rules" Weston, had to let Hyat land the fish (its practice for when Hazen is big enough)! Hyat counted two more with Weston! Embrie had a blast landing in the mud and throwing rocks. By this summer, Hyat is going to have some competition for that rod when it is bent over!

Embrie Jean is really starting to look a LOT like Hyat Christopher. The "baby look" is going away. Sorry, mama!
