We recently had a visit from Cousin Raine and Uncle Cody. Cody was here to some testing to allow him the ability to apply for fireman jobs in the great state of Montana. Of course, he did exceedingly well and placed 4th overall - pretty fantastic. I won't lie, we have our fingers crossed that they will move this direction. We would to have Cody, Stephanie and Raine closer!
Though there are few pictures to prove it, we had a really great time while Cody and Raine were here. We missed Stephanie, but sure hope she enjoyed the quiet time at home while she eased back into work. Hyat and Raine had an absolute blast together. It was really enjoyable to watch they play (and occasionally fight together). These two get along really well and even in times of disagreement manage to work most things out. Embrie tried to hang with the big kids and did a great job for the most part, but occasionally would be a bit disappointed by getting "left out." This is a feeling that I remember often being the smallest of the cousins, so I had some sympathy for her. The days were largely filled with simple things like swimming in the kiddie pool, playing on the swing set and similar activities, but somehow the kids were generally exhausted by the time they went to bed.
Sadly, I only pulled out the camera once (the night before they left), catching a few Pirate-knights in action!

It was really great to spend time with these two. Unfortunately, is just doesn't happen enough!
