The month of May has given us some beautiful sunny days (along with some rain and even snow - but that is another post)! We took advantage of a beautiful day and hit the Madison River with the family and the Pauls. We had a great first float trip of the season. Jeni managed to miss more fish than she wants to admit. Buck even missed a few, but he also got a few to the boat. Hyat had a blast casting his Lighting McQueen rod off the back of the boat and Embrie served as Captain. Adding to the entertainment was watching Karly and Weston try to corral a climbing Hazen to their boat - at 17 months he still doesn't grasp how un-enjoyable it would be to take a swim in the Madison in May!

| Hyat netted Buck's first fish to the boat! |

| Getting ready to hold it! |
| Look at that! Great catch boys! |
| Embrie is evaluating if she is going to hold it or not... |
| Embrie deciding she just wanted to touch him, not hold him! |
| Sweet girl enjoying the river and the sun! |
| Happy boy - loves being outside, on the boat, and fishing! |
Hazen and Weston - this probably the only time Hazen held still, so he could show us his nose... No he is not picking! |
| And the ever entertaining Karley! |
We had a great morning on the water. After fishing, we headed home and got ready for Hyat's soccer game. We had to wake Embrie up from her nap, which made for a cuddle-bug during Hyat's game. Then from Hyat's game we headed to our friends (and mentors) Eric and Lisa for Eric's 50th Birthday Party. We had a great time and the kids loved it. It was a BUSY day - or, as Hyat would say, a "zoom-by day"! We had a great time and the kids did awesome considering it was busy, full of sunshine and activity and a late bed time! We are thankful for good friends, sunny days and beautiful country!
