Mother's Day

We celebrated our first Mother's Day on Sunday! Last year I was pregnant this time, so this was the first real deal for us. We had spent the weekend in Jackson Hole attending the wedding of a good friend of the Stangby family. We had a great weekend overall and got to take in the sights of the Grand Tetons. Neither Buck or I had been there since we were kids so it was really great to go back and recall some memories.

We spent Mother's day travelling home, but took the long way through Yellowstone National Park - stopping to play tourist and watch Old Faithful. We definately had sucessful wildlife viewing throughout the trip seeing vast quanties of elk, numerous moose, three grizzlies (one sow and cub combo), a black bear, more buffalo than you can count, and not to mention the deer, hawks, osprey, eagles, etc.

Hyat was a trooper this weekend. He took in all the attention and worked the ladies with those blue eyes! He was getting restless in his carseat on the way home, but managed to hang in there. Last night he spent his time stretching and rolling across the floor enjoying some freedom.
