Weekend fun!

Hyat got to go on his first mountain biking trip this weekend. A couple of girlfriends and I hit the trails with Hyat in the bike trailer. Not surprisingly, he fell asleep on the way up and got to enjoy the ride. Riding with him was great, but it certainly more effort to pull up those hills. We rode up Stone Creek out near Bridger Ski Area. It was a great trip.

It was an out and back so all the effort was on the out, then the trip back to car was a cinch. Hyat stayed awake for that one and talked all the way home. He loves doing long aahhhhhs and letting the bumps vibrate his voice!

While we were biking, Buck and the boys had taken to the waters of the Madison river for some fishing. With our late winter/spring most of the rivers are still blown out, but Buck was just itching to get that fly rod rolling. It wasn't the best day of fishing, but I think Buck was just happy to be on the water!

Now that we have the trailer set Buck and I have been riding around town more and more too. On Sunday evening we headed to some friends for a BBQ. Had a great time, then headed home to get Hyat to bed. Well, we forgot to check the sky. We made it a few block before the first raindrops hit and got about 1/2 way before the heavens opened up on us. Lucky for Hyat his trailer has a rain cover so he was dry and warm. Before we got home we were being pelted with hail. I a sure it was a pretty funny sight. Most people were watching the storm from the safety of their porches and windows and would get to see us whizzing by. By the time we got home Buck and I were a couple of drowned rats and Hyat was happily snoozing! Oh, and to add insult to injury the storm let up moments after we reached home...

Hope you are all doing well!
