Mother's Day

And a late post about Mother's Day. I had a great Mother's Day with Buck and Hyat. We got up and poked around, then Buck made me a delicious breakfast. After eating, Hyat went down for a morning nap and Buck went to get me coffee while I putzed around in my front flower bed trying to get it cleaned up. When Hyat was up we took the dogs out and got in a nice walk at a regional park near our house. It was a beautiful day...

Hyat getting a ride for part of you walk... He was having a great time. There is a pond where we were and he loves the ducks. He already differentiates between a bird and a duck; though he does consider a goose to be a duck. Regardless, his dad is proud and is now teaching about Turkeys.

Finally, Hyat decided that he wanted to get down and walk. It slowed our walk because he would periodically have to stop to play in the dirt. But we were in no hurry anyway:

After our walk we had lunch and then all three (+ two dogs) took a wonderful two hour nap. Finally, Buck made me a delicious dinner.

All in all, it was a wonderful Mother's day and I am so thankful to be Hyat's mom and excited to be the mom to baby #2!
