Scamping

Way back when (July), we took a little camping trip with the kiddos.  My office had a firm picnic in which we reserved a group camp site.  So the Reece family and few friends decided to take advantage of the reservation.  We borrowed Enid's Scamp to simplify our excursion and it worked out great. We had the picnic then spent the afternoon fishing and enjoying the creek.  Jen and her girls, and     Karley and Hazen came and joined us for the evening.  Though Jen and the girls headed home after marshmellows, Karley and Hazen were planning on spending the night.  Weston did show up after an evening spent fishing.  We had a really great time.
Playing by the creek.
We spent a lot of time by the creek and no one fell in or even got too wet!
Sweet girl didn't nap much (she fell out of bed causing an early wake-up),
so she was little tired by the end of the day.
More creek time!
Fishing! After Buck had caught a multitude of fish, I informed
him I wanted fish for dinner and sent him back to catch some more!

Embrie ready for the marshmellow action!
Sweet Hazen - cute as always, waiting for some dinner...

Buck was fishing so I was masterminding the hot dogs...
(Yup, cooking 6 at once)
Cute kids having fun!
Dinnertime!
So glad these guys joined us!
Embrie preferred her marshmellows "uncooked"
S'mores = sticky mess
Seriously sticky (good thing there was a creek nearby)

Not as bad as brother!
Checking on Hazen as he was headed to bed!
Getting PJs on and ready for bed.
Relaxing by the fire....
My favorite boys! Love these two!
Getting sleepy!
Showing off the glow in the dark rocket PJs...
Hyat wanted to see a shooting star, so we let him stay up.
Because of how late it stays light in thees parts in July, he
couldn't stay awake and fell asleep in his chair without seeing
a shooting star!
Good Morning!
Snug as a bug in a rug!
See - Weston was there!
Cutie all bundled up!
Breakfast!
Hazen taking a morning snooze before we headed out.
The kids enjoying the Scamp - Cheese!
