| Buck's first elk with a bow! |
Something else happened this fall... Buck had a decent hunting season. Actually, it was beyond decent. He was able to bring home the meat - he shot an antelope, a elk and a deer this year. Suffice it to say that our freezer is FULL! The best part is that he got them all with his bow. Or maybe the best part is the elk that we have to eat! Either way it was a successful year. I, sadly, did not manage to hunt at all this year. I am not entirely sure why, it was just a busy fall for me, so didn't manage to make the time. We eat enough game meat that any night we a have meat for dinner the kids will ask what is it? (elk, deer, pig, cow) and who shot it? Even though they ask who, they are pretty sure that really Buck shot everything.
