Fairmont Hot Springs

Last Friday I attended a continuing education class at Fairmont Hotsprings with a friend and colluege from my office, Jenn. Jenn has two girls Megan (4) and Ava (1 1/2). We though it would be fun to stay at the resort Friday night and have our hubbies come over with the kiddos. Jenn borrowed her mom's mini van so that all the kids would fit in with Jeff and Buck. Unfortunately, a cold Ava had turned nasty and late Friday afternoon Ava had a high fever. So instead of the hot springs Jeff and Ava were off to the doctor. Buck then drove the mini van over with Megan and our two kiddos. Jenn and I met Buck and the kiddos in Butte for some dinner then headed out the hotsprings. We finally were ready to go swim (and Megan and Hyat were quite excited) at 8:30 p.m. That is Hyat's bedtime and about 1/2 an hour after Embrie's bedtime! But they had a great time. Both of our kids love the water and Hyat and Megan had a great time playing to together. We were back to the room and got Embrie to bed about 9:30. She was a great little trooper. As for Hyat, we were watching the opening ceremonies for the Olympics and the next we knew it was 10:30 and he was still awake - Ooops! I think at that point he finally passed our from exhaustion. Embrie didn't have the best night, but we got through it... it is never easy when we are all sharing a room. To make up for his late night Hyat slept in until 8 a.m. (which he never does)! Once were up it was down to breakfast and back to the pool. This time without Megan as they were headed back to check on Ava. We had a great time. When Embrie and I walked out to the pool area and she just started kicking and giggling she was so excited. After a nice swim we headed home. On the way home we also got to stop and have lunch with Enid. It was nice to have some time to see her as well.

The above pics are obviously from swimming. You can see the waterslide in the background. Hyat wasn't quite ready for it, and Buck and I didn't want to get out in the cold and drag him all the way up there if he wasn't going to slide down. Below is how Hyat slept for most of the night. He has an entire queen bed and he slept on that one corner with virtually no covers! Silly boy!
