Christmas Eve

After a week filled with fun with Cindy and her family here to visit for Christmas the time was finally coming to open all of those presents accumulating under the tree. But first Christmas eve...

After Christmas eve service we had dinner at my parents house. Next, Grandpa introduced Hyat to the Santa Claus my grandma Stangby had sent. Hyat wasn't so sure why Santa's hat kept spinning around. After they played with it for awhile, my dad placed Santa on their mantle. Over the next few days Hyat would periodically exclaim, "Hey, Santa's looking at me!"

Next, as is a tradition with many families, we had a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas!
I had also encouraged, (okay, demanded) that everyone participate in a pajama exchange. So we each opened on present on Christmas eve. Yup, nothing like the tradition of pjs! Daniel (Cindy's step-son) had a little fun with it and bought Buck some pjs worth modeling on the spot! That is one good lookin guy - even in tinkerbell pajamas.

Then it was off to bed in anticipation of Christmas morning!
