We were off to the egg races again this year. We have participated in our church's egg hunt for a number of years... The
first time with Hyat,
a year in the snow,
last year with visitors and again in the snow this year. It is an event, to say the least... face painting, inflatables, eggs, candy, prizes you name it. This year was no different and I wonder a little bit why we were going. It seems that every year is a little intense.... A little intense because the parents are crazy (and I just might be one of them because I keep going back)! But the good news to report is that with a little snow it was more of an actual "hunt" and just a scramble-gather. We also got smart and put our kids (2 and 4) in with the 5-10 age group. First off, they wanted candy in their eggs instead of exchanging eggs for prizes. Second, parents are less involved in the 5-10 age range than the 0-4 group. There were 60,000 eggs. That is A LOT of eggs!
After the "hunting" we met up with Weston, Karley and Hazen (a.k.a. Baby Pea). Then we headed over for some face painting and other activities. We capped the morning off with lunch with a full crew of friends! It was a great day!
