The final day...

After spending the night in Ashton, we got up grabbed some breakfast and hit the road to fit in a few more adventures before heading home. First we stopped on the Henry's Fork to check out the fish. There is a spot where there are some VERY LARGE fish that you can feed. Hyat had a great time throwing them food. Heck, Buck and I had a great time watching them. Too bad you can't fish here, we could have hauled in some pigs!
Hyat and his papa!

If you look closely you can see the fish in the water (look for the spots)... Too bad I don't have a polarized lens!

After feeding fish we went to check out Mesa Falls... Here we learned that the Henry's Fork is spring fed... That is a lot of water!

Here is Hyat "hiking" out from the first overlook for the lower falls.

As you approach the upper falls this is what you see... All that water just drops away!

And then this...

And then this....

And finally a family portrait taken by a nice traveler...

To get back up to the car we had to conquer these stairs... Hyat is off!

Hmmm, he didn't quite make it to the top. That is a lot of stairs for 2 year old legs!

Embrie being a trooper in the backpack!

After seeing the falls we found a nice spot for a picnic lunch. Then we set out for a little fishing on the Warm river...

We found a spring feeding the river...

Enjoyed some incredible views...

And Buck and I got some fishing in... Her is my wonderful husband enjoying the Idaho fishing. We both managed to catch some fish, and had a wonderful time.

While we were fishing the kids were in the truck snoozing away... Every 10 minutes one of us would walk up to the truck (which was within sight while we were fishing) and check on them. We fished for about an hour and a half and they slept the entire time.

After that we hopped in the truck and started our drive home. The road we were on followed the river up a bit further. As we got up we found one more spot worth fishing with Hyat. Him and Buck managed to catch another couple together. The only problem was we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes!

Hyat kissing his catch!

A sweet boy excited about another fish!

And some video...

After fishing we hit the road for home. It was a great vacation, but needless to say, it was nice to get home to our own beds!
